A business is judged on the conversations it has with its customers. Telonic builds specialised AI agents that hold those conversations for you, across voice, WhatsApp, SMS, email and web. Each agent is built around how your industry operates, works inside the systems you already run, and stays within limits your team controls. These docs explain how that works, what it asks of your organisation, and how you stay in control of it.

What changes for your business

Four things break as conversation volume grows, and each makes the others worse.

Consistency. The same question gets a different answer depending on who picks it up, how busy they are, and what time it is. Almost no business can measure how far it varies.

Specialisation. Handling a property handover, an insurance claim or a disrupted itinerary well requires knowing that business deeply. Most of these conversations are handled generically.

Scale. Capacity grows by hiring, which is slow and cannot flex to demand. Growth makes service worse rather than better, and out-of-hours coverage breaks first.

Visibility. Nobody can connect what happens in these conversations to whether customers buy, stay, complain or leave.

A Telonic deployment answers each of these. Every customer gets the same standard of answer, at any hour, in Arabic, English or many other languages, including Urdu, Russian, Chinese and Spanish.

The agent handling the conversation knows your industry and your policies. Capacity flexes with demand, including at night, at weekends and during peaks. And every conversation produces a structured record you can read, search and measure.

Three things define every deployment

Specialisation. The agent understands your industry: the things your business runs on, such as a unit, a payment milestone, a policy or a booking, and the rules attached to each. It knows where a customer is in a longer process and what a resolved outcome means there. This is built once per industry and carried into every deployment in that industry.

Centralisation. Every channel and department resolves to one continuous record of each customer. A customer who calls on Monday and messages on Wednesday is not starting again, and your team can see everything that has been said.

Completion. The work a conversation generates is done by the agent, inside your own systems. The outcome is recorded, the ticket is raised, the follow-up is scheduled and the record is updated, as each conversation requires.

What an agent is, and what it is not

You have almost certainly used two kinds of automated system before, and an agent is neither.

A phone menu routes a caller somewhere. It does not understand anything they say. A website chatbot matches a question against answers someone wrote in advance, and offers a form when the question is not on its list.

An agent understands what the customer is asking, in their own words. It asks a question back when something is unclear. It looks up the customer's actual booking, unit or policy in your systems while the conversation is happening. And it completes the task, such as booking the viewing, taking the claim details or changing the reservation, rather than telling the customer who to call.

Who Telonic is built for

Telonic works with large organisations in three industries: property, travel and hospitality, and insurance. We work with organisations in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

A deployment fits best where four things are true:

  • Conversation volume is high, across more than one channel.
  • Conversations follow a process. An enquiry becomes a viewing, a report becomes a claim, a booking becomes a change.
  • How you respond affects whether customers buy or stay.
  • You already run systems worth working inside, such as a CRM (the system that holds your customer and sales records), a booking or policy administration system, or a service desk.

What stays with your team

The agent takes the routine conversations your team answers the same way many times a week. It prepares the complicated ones, gathering the facts and the history, then hands them to a person. Decisions that need judgement or authority, such as a claims decision, a refund outside policy or a legal dispute, stay with your people.

Your team decides where those lines sit, and can move them. The result is that your people spend their time on the conversations that need them, with the full history in front of them when they pick one up.

Note

The agent always tells customers it is an AI agent, and offers a person whenever they ask for one.

In practice

A Dubai property developer runs out-of-hours enquiries for one launch through a Telonic agent.

  1. At 9pm on a Thursday, Rania taps the WhatsApp button on a property portal listing and sends an enquiry. The agent replies straight away, in Arabic, because that is how she wrote.
  2. She asks whether a two-bedroom unit is still available. The agent checks the developer's inventory and confirms it, with the payment plan attached to that unit.
  3. The agent asks about her budget, timing and whether she is buying to live in or to invest, as part of the conversation.
  4. It books a viewing for Saturday morning into the sales team's calendar and sends her a confirmation.
  5. On Friday morning, the enquiry is in the developer's CRM with a summary, her answers and the viewing already in the diary.
  6. When Rania calls on Saturday to move the viewing, the agent already knows who she is and what was agreed.
